Who can join the program? 
  • Latino pastors and church leaders from any geographical location in the United States and Puerto Rico.
What is the church’s size and longevity requirement?
  • None. A church of any size and time of existence can participate. 
What is a cohort?
  • The cohort is a small group of 3 to 5 church leaders (including pastors, paid staff and lay leaders) from up to 5 different churches. 
What are the types of Cohorts?
  • Online Cohort: A cohort of churches across the US engaging in virtual sessions, except for the Immersion experience (a 2 day immersion experience with costs covered by the program).  
  • Regional Cohort: For churches geographically located in specific regions in the United States and Puerto Rico. Sessions will be virtual and in-person, including the 2-day local immersion experience. 
How to choose my church leadership team?
  • The General/ Lead Pastor of the church.
  • A person who has the ultimate authority in decision making at the local church.
  • A group of 2 to 4 participants* who:
  • Are older than 18 years old. 
  • Are in a leadership position according to the church structure
  • Are flourishing as leaders of an area
  • Are prompt to change, recognizing the need to embrace change in the church environment
  • Aspire to see their church as the one described in the church profile
  • Can commit to the full program
  • *Participants: Leaders from different cultural origin, of different ages, men or women.
What is the time commitment?
  • Introductory session: Half day
  • Monthly time demand: 4 hours (2 hours online session* / 2 hours of Team Time with your church leadership group, schedule by your team at time convenient for your team) 
  • *Online monthly sessions will be held in the evenings or on weekends to make the meetings accessible for lay leaders who maintain a typical work schedule
  • Immersion experience (4th month): 2 days (in person, travel costs covered by the program)
When is the informational session?
What is the plan?

The program offers a structured plan through collaborative cohorts and contextualized organizational coaching: 

  1. Introductory event: familiarizes leaders with the program’s objectives and introduces them to the basics of holistic leadership and community development.  
  2. Growth sessions: addresses topics such as embracing change, creating safe environments, promoting holistic collaboration, building a strong church culture and engaging in community development. 
  3. Immersion experience: in the fourth month, cohorts witness and learn from an effective holistic church-based community development ministry. 
  4. Contextualized coaching: after six months of foundational sessions, churches can apply for up to 20 hours of tailored coaching to address their specific needs. 
  5. Online support platform: provides contextualized resources for Latino churches and leaders.
What is the cost?
  • There is no cost to participate in the program.
  • Travel costs during the immersion experience will be covered by the program. 
What is personalized/ contextualized coaching?
  •  During the program’s second phase, the church leadership team can apply to receive up to 20 hours of coaching tailored to the church’s needs and goals. The coaching sessions will be given by experts and will focus on holistic culture or community development. 
What is the cost for the coaching in the second phase?
  •  After completed successfully the first phase of foundational sessions that includes the introductory event, five growth sessions and one immersion experience (2 days) the church leadership team can apply for up to 20 hours of personalized coaching free of charge.
