Church Health For Community Development

Healthy Churches, Thriving Communities

En Comunidad equips church leadership teams to build relationships, strengthen church health through a holistic culture, and live out God’s mission right where they are following Christian Community Development principles.

A journey to reimagine how the church can anchor community flourishing.

“We believe that God has divinely placed every church in its specific location for a reason. The people who live around us, whether or not they attend our services, are part of our spiritual responsibility. En Comunidad invites churches to reimagine themselves as a reflection of Christ’s love—where Sunday worship extends into Monday’s sidewalks, Tuesday’s school runs, and everyday acts of intentional compassion”

Our purpose

We believe that together, we will embrace God’s redemptive plan, partnering in His work to restore all creation to its fullness. As a united body of believers, we will fulfill our unique role in seeing our communities and the world flourish.

The name En Comunidad (In Community) was prayerfully discerned—born from a moment of walking, talking, and listening to God. At its heart, it reflects our hope: that we would live in community with God, with each other, and with our neighbors. It’s a call to shared life, shared mission, and shared love—rooted in the Trinity, reflected in the Church, and extended into every street and story around us.

Why En Comunidad is unique?

Core Practices — Faith that becomes presence

The En Comunidad Core Practices are biblical, practical ways of living out the love of Christ in our neighborhoods. Inspired by Christian Community Development principles, these practices anchor congregations in their local context and guide them to be present, listen deeply, restore relationships, activate strengths, and pursue justice together.

Church leadership teams serving Latino communities

En Comunidad is designed for church leadership teams serving Latino communities across the U.S.—communities that are young, growing, resilient, and full of potential. We strengthen the inner life of the congregation—unity, collaboration, and emotional-spiritual health—so that churches can engage their neighborhoods with confidence and hope. When leaders flourish together, the whole community flourishes.

Accompaniment — You don’t walk alone

What truly sets En Comunidad apart is our commitment to walk with you. We accompany your leadership team through both the learning journey and individual coaching, supporting pastors, staff, and lay leaders every step of the way. No one is expected to figure it out alone. Together, we identify strengths, navigate challenges, and take real, meaningful steps toward the holistic transformation in their congregations and communities.
