At Urban Strategies Early Head Start (EHS), we aim to develop strong and healthy families, advance the school readiness of children, build engaged communities, and make a difference in the quality of life of vulnerable families.
Our EHS programs leverage resources with community- and faith-based organizations to ensure that children and families are safe and cared for in a high-quality environment.
Multigenerational Approach
We use a multigenerational approach, focusing on child development while equipping parents with skills for obtaining family self-sufficiency and financial stability. A loving and supportive bond is created with each child and their parents.
A Stimulating Environment
We create classrooms and playgrounds where children can thrive. Our classrooms are equipped with children’s furniture, toys, books, manipulatives. We use a research-based curriculum and community-informed approach.
Caring Teachers
Each teacher cares for four babies and assures that they eat and sleep at their pace so that their health, nutrition, and learning are enhanced.
