PREPARE

Our Program

Puro PREP Plus is a program for youth ages 14–24 years old. The program includes a life readiness and relationships skill-building program designed to help teens and young adults develop the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to successfully transition into adulthood.

Our Values

Purpose

The program is designed to address the real-life challenges youth and young adults face as they balance relationships, education, employment, financial independence, and personal growth.

Respect

Puro PREP Plus brings youth development programming directly into churches, schools, and community organizations so young people can access support, guidance, and resources in spaces they already trust and engage with respect and trust.

ELEVATE

The evidence-based curriculum Within My Reach will lay the foundation to improve relationship and conflict management skills, the use of constructive conflict management behaviors, less approval of violence in young relationships, and greater relationship happiness and commitment. Additionally, supplemental workshops Money Habitudes and Survival Skills for Healthy Families will be offered to strengthen youth’s relationships with peers, family members, co-parents and children, and future spouses; and as they enter the workforce or continued education and transition to adulthood.

Prepare

To help support successful program delivery and meaningful impact, Puro PREP Plus provides resources that help strengthen the capacity of our partners to serve youth and young adults well. This support is intended to help ensure partners have what they need including staffing support, program coordination resources, and operational support to implement the program in a way that is smooth, sustainable, and impactful for the young people and families being served.
