Healthy Start exists to support women and their families in their childbearing journey by connecting them to resources and services that help mothers and children thrive. Whether you are planning a pregnancy, expecting a baby or have a child 0-18 months.

What is Comienzo Saludable?

Comienzo Saludable is dedicated to the health and success of women in their childbearing years. We provide women with the opportunity to receive up-to-date information and support while providing mothers with services they may not otherwise have access to before, during and after pregnancy. Comienzo Saludable will design a care plan that will connect you with services and resources to ensure that you and your baby have what you need to thrive.

Comienzo Saludable aims to:

• Reduce health disparities in maternal and child health by improving women’s health
• Support family health and wellness
• Promote systemic change in Puerto Rico

It will focus specifically on improving access to quality health care and services for women, infants, and families. We do this through strengthening the healthcare workforce, building healthy communities, ensuring continuous, coordinated, and comprehensive services to clients, and improving health equity.
